I will begin the description wishing you all an happy 2024. To me, one of my new year (horological) resolutions was to slim down my collection even further so this week I will put up for sale a few watches that I have for a long time and that I was not planning on selling It really hurts to see them leave but I’m focusing my collection on more modern pieces. Despite that fact I really nourish and love a lot of the vintage watches I still have. That’s why that more important than the amount this auction might fetch is the hope that their new owners appreciate them as much as I do. Fingers crossed… All those watches are offered without reserve and this particular one is no exception The serial number dates it from 1951 and it is a stunning piece. One of the best 2640 that I ever saw with this configuration. That’s why I’m reluctantly selling it :( The dial is spectacular. I love the “leopard” patina (sporting) that didn’t damage neither the fonts or the numerals. The lumen, by the way, is radium as you would expect from a watch from this era. It is really, really pretty and 10x better in person when compared with the photos The syringe hands are, obviously, the original ones. Swiss Made can be spotted at 6 o’clock as expected The case is not bad at all, also. It has 35,7mm without crown and a hell of a wrist presence. It is 100% stainless steel and it has been polished in the past but correctly as it has its original configuration The movement is a caliber 283: a little brother of the legendary 30T2 I must confess, once again, that I never serviced this watch. This is one of the main reasons for selling them; I feel I cannot take good care of them if they are always close in a bank vault. It is running between -4 and +19 seconds a day. Amplitude is low but I reckon it wasn’t been serviced for decades! The lack of screw driver marks on the screws is a clear sign that this movement hasn’t seen to many watchmakers in is life time.. It does not show any signs of rust but it obviously has a bit of dust. This watch is being sold not serviced The crown is signed. It is a flat feet and according to my research original to the watch The plexiglass is also signed and the original one No particular value on strap and bracelet but they are brand new and ready to wear To summarise, It is my strong believe that I won’t be able to acquire this reference in this condition in the future. Pour moi, une de mes résolutions (horlogères) du nouvel an sets de réduire encore plus ma collection, donc, cette semaine je mettrai en vente quelques montres que je possède depuis longtemps et que je n'avais pas l'intention de vendre Ça fait vraiment mal de les voir partir mais j’oriente ma collection vers des pièces plus modernes. Malgré cela, je nourris et j’aime vraiment beaucoup de montres vintage que j’ai encore. C’est pourquoi l’espoir que leurs nouveaux propriétaires les apprécieront autant que moi est plus important que le montant que cette vente aux enchères pourrait rapporter. Doigts croisés… Toutes ces montres sont proposées sans réserve et celle-ci ne fait pas exception Le numéro de série date de 1951 et c'est une superbe pièce. Une des meilleurs 2640 que j'ai jamais vu avec cette configuration. C'est pourquoi je la vends à contrecœur :( Le cadran est spectaculaire. J'adore la patine léopard (spotting) qui n'a abîmé les escritures. Soit dit en passant, la lumière est en radium, comme on peut s'y attendre d'une montre de cette époque. C'est vraiment, vraiment jolie et 10 fois mieux en vrai par rapport aux photos Les mains en seringue sont évidemment celles d'origine. Le Swiss Made est repérable à 6 heures comme il faut pour un cadran original Le boîtier n’est pas mauvais du tout non plus. Il a 35,7 mm sans couronne et une sacrée présence au poignet. Il est 100% acier et il a été poli dans le passé mais correctement car il garde sa configuration et ses détails d'origine Le mouvement est un calibre 283 : un petit frère du mythique 30T2 Je dois avouer, encore une fois, que je n'ai jamais entretenu cette montre. C’est l’une des principales raisons de les vendre ; Je sens que je ne peux pas bien prendre soin d'eux s'elles sont toujours dans un coffre-fort. Le movement tourne entre -4 et +19 secondes par jour. L’amplitude est faible mais je pense que cette montre n’a pas été entretenue depuis des décennies ! L’absence de marques de tournevis sur les vis est un signe clair que ce mouvement n’a pas été vu par de nombreux horlogers au cours de sa vie. Il ne montre aucun signe de rouille mais il contient évidemment un peu de poussière. Cette montre est vendue non révisée La couronne est signée. C'est une « flat feet » et d'après mes recherches original à la montre Le plexiglas est également signé et celui d'origine Pas de valeur particulière sur le bracelet et le bracelet mais ils sont neufs et prêts à porter Pour résumer, je crois fermement que je ne pourrai plus acquérir cette référence dans cet état à l’avenir. Omega Oro 18 Kt ref 2624 anni 50. Splendido Omega a carica manuale cassa pesante in oro giallo massiccio dei primi anni 50 - rara referenza 2624 da collezione! Cassa e fondello punzonati oro 18 Kt - diametro senza corona 36 mmm - vetro plexiglass in ottime condizioni. Sul fondello sono presenti alcune irregolarit che ho cercato di mettere in rilievo in foto, ma a occhio nudo sono meno visibili Quadrante honey-comb, con indici oro applicati e patina del tempo che lo rende ancora pi affascinante. Stupende lancette dauphine originali, fibbia originale Omega laminata oro, cinturino nuovo in vero Alligatore. Il movimento interamente ramato in splendide condizioni, il pregiato cal. 283 dellOmega (17 rubini). Lorologio funziona e tiene bene il tempo, ma la data dellultima revisione ignota. Questo bellissimo Omega fa parte della mia collezione privata e viene venduto cos com (as is), senza diritto di reso. Tutto originale tranne la corona.Splendida cassa con anse particolari, placcatura in oro giallo di ben 80 micron di spessore.36 mm di larghezza x 41 mm alle anse. Placcata oro 80 micron anche la lunetta e persino il fondello, sia internamente che esternamente. A colpo docchio sembra un orologio in oro massiccio.Cassa, lunetta e fondello sono privi di graffi e la placcatura è in buone condizioni, si nota appena un segno di usura sulla punta delle anse.Corona placcata non originale.Vetro plexi privo di graffi, piccolissima incrinatura a ore 1, difficile da notare a occhio nudo (ne ho scoperto lesistenza dalle foto).Luminoso quadrante originale argenté soleil in splendide condizioni, fondo pulito e grafica perfetta; segnalo come unico difetto un sottile graffio a ore 8. Indici applicati dorati, sfere a foglia dorate con secondi al centro.Pregevole movimento di manifattura Omega cal. 283, meccanico a carica manuale, 17 jewels, 18000 A/h, spirale Breguet, antimagnetico, riserva di carica di 45 ore.Perfettamente funzionante. Tiene bene sia il tempo che la carica ed è morbido da caricare e regolare.Cinturino generico in vera pelle nuovo con fibbia dorata.
