It houses a 350 caliber quartz movement that was actually made by Girard Perregaux and is the same as GP quartz. Instead, they have chosen to advance their own research and have hired the amazing talents of a Georges Vuffrays. Georges had no horological training but was a phenomenal electronics expert that GP put to excellent use. His expertise and the fact The fact that he was not immersed in the watchmaking culture enabled him to look in time, staying with fresh eyes and successfully challenging many preconceived notions. The end result was the 352 caliber bottom breaker. It uses no jewels, they are replaced with Teflon that will not crack or chip and be smear itself, drastically reducing service gaps. it was also the first quartz movement to use a frequency of 32,768 Hz, which is now the industry standard. It was also the first Swiss clockwork to use a walking motor. Georges Vuffray effectively wrote the template for quartz movement that the vast majority of manufacturers still use today more than 40 years later.

One of the earliest quartz analog vintage watch models to come out of Switzerland in the 1970s. This watch is not running, so it needs to be repaired. All we have done is tried a fresh battery. Seems to need attention to the setting stem. The watch may just need a cleaning or a simple repair. It has been tucked away in a watchmakers old stock for many years, therefore it has survived remarkably untouched. Since this watch is non-running, it is Sold AS IS with NO RETURNS. Referred to as the Master Quartz model, the cosmetics of this Girard-Perregaux watch are in excellent condition. Features the ground-breaking G-P 353-709 movement that dates to about 1972. Nice large head and perfectly proportioned original bracelet. The Stainless Steel satin finish case and bracelet are near mint, with just some light opening marks on the case back. The crystal is perfect. Stunning blue dial. Bracelet should fit wrists up to about 7 1/2 inches in circumference (19cm). Sold As Is for parts or repair, so there are no returns on this auction.
