Beautiful Seiko King Seiko Automatic Chronometer, ref. 5625-7041, from April 1973. This quite rare model has a particular chronometric certification. During the 60s and 70s, some models of the King Seiko family were being independently certified as chronometers by the “Japan Chronometer Inspection Institute” (JCII), to the same level as the old Swiss COSC standards. This independent certification led Seiko to mark the dials with “Chronometer Officially Certified”. The watch is in mint condition, completely genuine inside and outside: stunning white sunburst dial in perfect state and without flaws or traces of patina; applied indexes and Seiko and KS logos. The stainless steel case is in excellent condition, with its original sharp edges and surfaces: it’s unpolished and unrestored, so it has usual light surface marks (but no major dinks or scratches). The KS crown is original. The mineral glass is also original and super clean: there's only a couple of super fine surface marks, but they are not noticeable at all. The movement works excellently for a watch of this age, with a good power reserve and with a good running precision. (-10 seconds/day). The quickset date function, like most of Seikos with the 56xx calibers, doesn't work anymore (the date can only be changed by cycling past 12 o'clock), but it’s possible to restore it by installing the appropriate wheel (easily available on the web). The watch will be equipped with a new black leather strap (slightly different from the one shown in the photos). An absolutely fantastic watch from every point of view, a fabulous collector's item! King Seiko 56KS 5621-7000 one-piece case HI-BEAT 1970s vintage watch. I bought it from a professional watch store in Japan. This watch is in very good condition both in terms of aesthetics and function. The watch works well. Under normal wearing conditions, the error is approximately +7s/giorno. (Considering that this is a product 50 years ago, this value is already very good). There are several small depressions on the case (as shown in the picture).
