Of course, this can easily be changed by changing out the watch band Condition/Notes: Please read the full description and look at pictures for cosmetic condition and completeness. * Denotes current condition. The service history of this watch is unknown to me unless I state otherwise. Therefore you should expect to service this watch if you are a responsible collector. Often times these watches have been forgotten in a jewelers desk or in a back room for 30 plus years. I like to save them from that demise and get them back into the hands of collectors. It doesnt take very long for old gummy oil to stop a movement from running ( many times just a week or so ) or even worse if the oil is dried out it might not take too long for the watch to grind itself up inside. This is not specific to my watches, but to all that have not been serviced in the last few years. For this reason we only wind a watch a few turns to verify if it will go through the paces, so please understand I can only tell you if the watch is running here. Vintage Timex Q 1974 Electric Quartz Mens Watch (fully restored)New Nato Strap (Khaki) New Battery (Renata 357, Silver oxide, Swiss Made) *This is a early quartz watch. Except for the electrical circuit, most of the parts are mechanical and it has a sweep second. The mechanism is similar to electric watches from Hamilton, Omega, Citizen, etc. Electric watches have a very special sweeping motion of the second hand, somewhat mechanical quality. Its quite pleasing to look at. Condition: Movement was fully serviced 3 days ago, cleaned with ultrasonic, all electronic contacts cleaned , newly lubricated, regulated. It runs very strong and is keeping a very good time for a vintage watch. Cosmetically very good.About Revision: All parts were carefully checked. If necessary, some parts were cleaned by hand. I use the best synthetic watch oils (Moebius, Swiss-made) which are used for other high-end watches. These oils will never leave any residue after long years. The crystal is either hand-polished (Excellent) or replaced (New). The case is cleaned. This is a beautiful Timex Q from 1974. The watch is huge, in the retro-futuristic style of the 70s. The gray dial is simply beautiful to look at. The NATO strap complements the watch. Really a very stylish watch.
