You are viewing an iconic and handsome all original Heuer Chronograph watch from the ewarly 1970s. The parts are all original except the new strap. Usually we say be realistic in regards to condition, do not expect mint but overall good condition as per photos. Brief History of TagEdouard Heuer founded The Heuer Watch Company in 1860 in St. Imier, Switzerland. Chronographs have been the mainstay for Heuer and later TAG Heuer. Featuring many models and configurations, expanding the possibilities to the full. In 1958 Jack Heuer, Edouard’s son, joined the company. In 1963 the first generation of Carrera was launched. The name Carrera comes from Carrera Panamericana, a legendary race across Mexico. In 1999 TAG Heuer accepted a bid from LVMH Moët Hennessy S.A. The watch is working beautifully and back to original factory recommendations at 0-7 seconds a day beating at 18000bhp. Just been serviced by a local watchmaker. The next service is due in approx 7-10 years so there is nothing to do apart from enjoy ! The Chronograph function is obviously a useful / essential tool for some. This sweeps around nicely once engaged by the top pusher. Press again to stop and then the bottom pusher to reset. The watch has good presence as 35mm in diameter especially compared to other watches from the same vintage era which can look quite smaller. The seconds hand on the left sub dial sweeps around nicely. A new brown leather racing strap has been added to give this a nice modern twist.
