Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE This is a beautiful vintage men’s manual wind watch from Bulova. The Bulova code of 47 on the movement dates the watch to 1947. I also found a few ads from 1947 that call this model His Excellency DD and was $57.50 in 1947. I put images of the ads in my item description just for your info; a paper copy of the ad is not part of the auction. The 21 jewels, 7AK caliber movement was cleaned and oiled; the watch runs strong and keeps time. The cosmetics are pretty nice! The dial looks great. The 10K gold filled case is also in nice shape. The watch also has a new glass crystal and a new 16mm band. It has a really solid feel to it! The case is 21mm wide not counting the crown, and 39mm long including the lugs. Vintage Bulova 10k Gold Filled Mens 7AK 21j Wristwatch Art Deco Running In Case.

Here is a desirable 1950 BULOVA “Academy Award” gent’s wristwatch with hi-grade movement, striking gold curtain dial and lizard grain band. The classic Art Deco rectangle in a 10k Gold Filled case measures 23mm across with the logo Bulova dial and 43mm lug end to end. The case shows no wear up top – very good – on the back there is edge wear to high areas and to the underside of the lugs – there are no personalizations – a lovely, distinctly styled case and one of the nicest Mid-Century Bulova watches in a long while. The unique gold curtain dial is an eye-catcher, Panda numerals [3 9 12] and pyramidal markers – a beautiful dial. the thick crystal could be replaced or not – there are a few scratches. The 7AK 21 Jewel movement needs a cleaning – it is gummed up.
