Super rare Vintage Gigandet Chronograph with iconic Racing Surfboard Dial, like Vulcain and Breiling models, from the late 60/early 70s. Valjoux 7733. An as cool as elegant racing chronograph design from the late 60s/early 70s: This super rare, beautiful vintage Gigandet Chronograph with the iconic racing surfboard dial presents itself in fantastic condition. Dial, hands and gold plated case are close to flawless (though, the watch is neither mint, nor NOS). Its the even rarer, gold plated cousin to the more common chromed model and the almost identical Vulcain chromed model (see last picture). This particularly rare item is of the special edition for the Olympics 1972 (as is the Vulcain cousin in the last picture). The Valjoux 7733 calibre runs smoothly. Chronograph functions perfectly, setting to zero exactly. Service history is unknown, but it keeps time well, considering its more than 50 years of age. Anyhow, it hasnt been tested for accuracy and power reserve. Case is a comfortable 37mm, lugs 18mm. Comes with a slightly used vintage style racing leather strap in dark brown. Valjoux 7733. Supercooles und gleichzeitig elegantes Rennsportuhrendesign aus den späten 60ern/frühen 70ern. Dieser superseltene, wunderschöne vintage Gigandet Chronograph mit dem ikonischen Racing-Surfbrett-Zifferblatt ist in fantastischem Zustand. Zifferblatt, Zeiger und vergoldetes Gehäuse sind beinahe makellos (wenn auch nicht mint oder NOS). Es ist der noch seltenere, vergoldete Cousin des verchromten Modells und des fast identischen Vulcain-Chrommodells (siehe letztes Bild). Dieses besonders seltene Modell stammt aus der Sonderedition für die Olympischen Spiele 1972 (wie auch der Vulcain-Cousin auf dem letzten Bild.) Das Valjoux 7733 Werk läuft tadellos. Der Chronograph funktioniert einwandfrei, stellt genau auf Null. Die Servicegeschichte ist unbekannt, aber für ihr Alter von über 50 Jahren hält die Uhr die Zeit gut. Allerdings wurde sie nicht auf Ganggenauigkeit und Gangreserve getestet. Das Gehäuse hat einen lässigen Durchmesser von 37 mm, die Bandanstöße sind 18 mm breit. Heres a vintage Vulcain 1376 chronograph manual wind with a matte black dial from the late 60s, early 70s. Keeps great time and is fully functional. Measurements include a 35mm case size and 18mm lug width. On a vintage JB Champion style bracelet that fits up to an 8 inch wrist. Matte black dial with white instrumentation. A little bit of red at the 3 a clock sub dial. Chrome case and steel caseback. The crown has some tarnishing, as seen in the photos, but the case is in great shape. Caliber Valjoux 7733 movement. Both the dial and crystal are free from any scratches or marks. All parts are original including the signed crown, dial, caseback, and movement.
